All about Nova.

Hello everyone I am here today to discuss my favorite female character I have been creating for the past year called Nova.

Nova begun life in June 2019 as a princess who was rescued by Laser Man and taken to the town, I now call Prattchetton and the two lived a happy life fulfilled by dancing to 60s classics.

A year and bit has past since that time and now Nova lives in a small bungalow her mother gave her with Delta, Nova's nephew and Laser Man comes over from time to time, she also works in the council in the planning and development of Prattchetton; so this means she looks at areas around town and works out what should be done to improve them or whether to leave things as they are.

Nova also has a phobia of rats and mice, which I nod back to my own phobias of large spiders and moldy rooms because I felt it would be quite funny to do as I can be often seen screaming like a petrified cat at poor tiny or bigger than they should be spiders or whacking a CD case off them til they get the message or scuttle away.

She also has an interest in soul and Motown music which refers to my recent interest in Motown by accident. Sometimes I imagine her in her bungalow after a long day at work and just turning on her record player to play This Love Starved Heart by Marvin Gaye at the loudest volume. I have made her theme song Upside Down by Paloma Faith which is a modern Soul classic and the music video has an impressive outfit  (photo below). I have been always amazed by Women of soul or punk as they usually come out with the most impressive outfits that link into one and other and are vivid in color and vintage.

As a teenager she, Petal, Rain, Silver, Delta and Ray would make films that were comedic and some were dramatic. Often in the films she and Rain would play a married couple and would either end up fighting or kissing (depending how bossy/stressful the day was)

While in between this design and her princess design I experimented with her hair a lot, one time it was medium and wavy and another (which was a very popular design) was her blue and yellow gelled up short modern day worker hair which nodded to my taste in girls with short hair. Also at that time my mum had just had a hair cut and she was a basis for Nova.

Anyways that is enough on my favorite female and I hope to share more character soon.

Monday 21st September 2020 - UPDATE

Welcome back to my blog,

I am going to write about a small(ish) update on my previous week. On Friday night I got permission from a band I am a fan of do some fan art for them and I could send it to them to get it signed or something, I was nearly allowed to join them in a live stream as well where I would chat to the band and talk about my art. The bands name is The Mysterines and the lead singer, Lia saw my message during the stream asking them how they would like fan art of them complete and she told me a drawing idea I could do. On Saturday, I went with my mam and dad and my two dogs who are called Toffee and Esme to somewhere we call Heather's Quarry. We went for a few walks around the area and went to Heather's tree and it was looking very healthy. Also a river was looking bone dry due to someone redirecting it further up. On Sunday, I stayed home and did an artist research task which was on the famous Josh Kirby. I tried to do my own version of work in his style, I used acrylic paints and coloring pencils to do this process, my bedroom carpet loved the acrylic painting part so much it now has a stain of paint.

Here are a few facts about Josh Kirby which I learnt while doing my research task:

- He takes 4-8 weeks on a single piece as he likes to take his time in the concept process and discussing his intentions with an art director or when he was doing the discworld series he would share his ideas with Terry Pratchett

 - He created most his work using paints like gouache, acrylic, watercolor or oils. His favorite out of all of them as oil as it took longer to dry and that meant he had time to think about the thing he was painting

- Ever since he was a young child, he was drawn to science fiction and fantasy as he watched movies and read magazines on it

 - He did a lot of the art for roleplaying games like Wizard & Warriors and Duelmasters

A question I got asked earlier was: If you found a penguin in your freezer, what would you do? Here is my answer/ theory to it:

I would probably get it out, but be extremely careful where I would place it. Most likely in a bathtub full of cold water to mimic its home climate as much as possible and make sure it has fish at hand. I will also give it the name Rico as it is the name of the stupid one in the Penguins of Madagascar and they would be pretty stupid if they found their way into my freezer. I would also go to my nearest fishmongers and try and buy as much fresh/raw cod as I can so I could feed it.

This coming week I have a few interesting things coming up, I am planning to begin commissions for my illustrations and I am going to attempt to begin a webpage where people can buy prints of my fan art or of my OCs. My test of if my prints will sell all be my fan art of the mysterines. I am also going to begin work on part 2 of the Nova and Petal show (part one is up on this site) sometime soon after a week hiatus from official decent work as I had to work on other things.I am also going to try and do more mini comics on other characters in co operation with my friend April, yet it may take a bit longer as April has her GCSEs this year and the lockdown has constrained us to video chats or messages.

I hope to see you in the next update,

Welcome to Noodle Dreamer!

 First Post!

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog page where I will be posting teasers and previews of new stories I am working on. Whether it'll involve my own characters from Prattchetton or my best friend April's from her universe Bimblewood or a fan fiction or a non-oc story; I will try and update this as much as I can. Also I am planning to write how Prattchetton came to exist, my inspirations and my concerts before settling on the way Prattchetton is. My stories will be properly published to Wattpad or typed up for my enjoyment. My Wattpad name is: scribblingnibbler. At this current moment I am working on a book on being an introvert and outsider to societies norms. Its a factual book and based around how I grew up.

Also on this page I will discuss my opinions on things and try and educate you on things not so many are aware about or what I am interested in. I will try and also share everyday life, whether I work or not. After all, this is a page which will be full of mistakes and emotions and honesty. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to offer your own advice on my writing and artwork.

I can say, I am more a traditionalist when it comes to illustration as I love to use pencils and markers and occasionally watercolours and biro. I also admire colours when I create my work, most of my drawings are splashed with colour. I love to create my own characters as well. my first "original" character I made (but sadly no drawings roam of him) was Shaun McCoy who led my collection of sci-fi books alongside hero turned villain Jules Tate. My first designed original character was Rainbow Galaxy who was made when I was 13/14 years old, they were an alien disguised as a human like figure who were non comforming in gender. Sadly Rainbow Galaxy was neglected by me when I rebranded myself when I was 16 as I created a new story concept based around Flash Gordon and Johnny Five; he was called Laser Man. Soon followed, Nova, Rain, Ray,Delta, Silver, Alpha, Petal, Crystal and my villians Lassie, Beam and Steel.

I hope you enjoy looking at this page and I'll probably post doodles and comics here as well as the occasional fully fledged drawing. As we speak I am finishing up a comic using copic markers called The Petal and Nova Show, this features my two elder female characters in funny scenarios and the occasional guest.

See you soon,
